The Fresh Art Spring Tour is a free self-guided journey to the finest studios and galleries in the Lake Pepin and Chippewa River Valleys. Saturday: volleyball tournament resumes, kids’ homemade boat races, face painting and caricatures, parade, Arkansaw Idol, the duck race, live music.
Have breakfast on the farm at R Green Acres Inc (W8667 Raethke Ln, Pepin)! This is a perfect opportunity to meet local farmers and learn more about Wisconsin agriculture.
Celebrate the holiday season at Durand Dazzle Day!
You can find the perfect gifts at the Durand Dazzle Day Ho Ho Ho Expo held at the Durand High School 10am – 3pm. Vendors, food, and prizes are plenty. There’s also face painting and you’ll even see Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Starting at 3pm, head over to Memorial Park to check out an exotic animal viewing zoo and take a ride on a trolley or horse drawn carriage.
Durand Dazzle Day Parade starts at 6pm!
Start your celebration of the season by enjoying holiday foods and wines on the Great River Road Wine Trail! Both the Maiden Rock Winery and Cidery and Villa Bellezza Winery are participating – you don’t want to miss out. Advance tickets for the event are $25 per person. Each ticket holder will receive a wine trail glass and a six-bottle wine tote at the first winery visited. Their ticket and wine glass will entitle the holder to free wine and food tasting at each winery. You can pay for your ticket at the winery or online, using PayPal. Online purchasers should bring their PayPal receipt to the first winery visited. Plan to enjoy the event for the entire weekend, and visit all eleven wineries! Start as far away as you can, and work your way home!! Please have a designated driver (sorry no wine tasting, but a lot of great local food). Designated driver tickets are $10 per person.
