The Eleventh Annual Flyway Film Festival will take place October 19-21, 2018 in Pepin, Stockholm, and Alma, Wisconsin. Flyway Film Festival’s mission is to bring the best in independent film to the Lake Pepin area of Wisconsin and Minnesota for the purposes of cultural enrichment, community-building, arts education, and to inspire the next generation of filmmakers. The festival venues are on the shores of Lake Pepin, a part of the Mississippi that widens to a 40-square-mile “lake” sixty miles downstream from the Twin Cities. The area is known for its scenic river bluffs as well as for its vibrant arts scene, gourmet dining, and sailing.
Full festival passes for unlimited screenings and parties are available now through October 1st for $120. Six-ticket “binge passes” are $65. Tickets for individual films ($12, or $8 with a student discount) will be available on October 3rd, as well as tickets for the opening night party.

Join us for the 20th annual Fresh Art Fall Tour with 17 studios and galleries throughout the picturesque Pepin and Pierce counties. As you travel the winding roads, a backdrop of autumn hues lights up the hillsides and bluffs, creating a work of art all their own.

Dog Days of Stockholm is about community affecting positive change – for both humans and animals. People who meet shelter and rescue dogs in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere are more inclined to adopt, and that’s the goal of Dog Days: to help place adoptable dogs into good and loving homes.
Note: Dogs must be leashed and under owner control at all times. Attendees who plan to bring their canine companions must sign a Waver of Liability and Release, found at http://dogdaysofstockholm.org/
Enjoy local food and the music of The Whitesidewalls Rock-n-Roll Revue at Durand Memorial Park! Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or their own chairs. The park has well-maintained restroom facilities.
No dogs allowed in the park per City ordinance.
Please stop by the Old Courthouse Museum & Jail in downtown Durand (315 W Madison St.) August 23rd from 6pm-8:30pm to see the unveiling of the new “Agriculture in Pepin County” exhibit. Scavenger hunts for the kids and refreshments for all. Many other exhibits to tour in the courthouse built in 1874, along with a pristine courtroom and jail. Free admission!
